AGUA VIVA WINS SXSW ANIMATION AWARD!!!

Following its Sundance premiere, Borscht short AGUA VIVA by Alexa Haas wins SXSW Jury Award for Best Animation! 

We couldn't be prouder of our magical human friend Alexa Haas and her incredible producer Taylor Shung on their win. Thank you to everyone in Miami that came to support Agua Viva's rough cut screening at Borscht Diez just over a year ago and all those who made it possible for a first-generation, first-time writer and director to tell her story in an environment where no men were involved in the green-lighting process!

Many thanks to OneFifty for helping bring to life our 1st Generation Storytellers Initiative, La Croix and the Knight Foundation for partnering on the #NoBroZone, Cinereach for forging a space where Agua Viva and so many other Borscht projects were created, and finally ArtCenter/South Florida for supporting our filmmakers and their travel to festivals.

We don't care who you are or where you come from, we just want passionate people who aren't afraid of hard work and collaborating with others.

Depending on your interests and availabilities, there are THREE programs to choose from: The year-long Borscht Fellowship, the Summer Internship, and the Volunteer Reserves.

No knowledge of film/film production experience is necessary for any of the programs.

Remember, you don't have to be good at everything, or anything.

The deadline for Fellowship and Summer Internship applications is April 15th.
