We can't possibly do this alone, and we are very proud to have a small number of carefully selected partners to double down on support.

In addition to our standard commissions, all applications will be automatically considered for specific initiatives. Again, there is no need to apply to these separately, if your project qualifies you will be considered.

THESE ARE NOT THE ONLY FUNDING CATEGORIES, these are just specific partnerships that will be providing additional support. Just apply with your story, don't worry!

#NOBROZONE
For films and projects by creators who identify as women. Selected and funded entirely by women. Supported by the Knight Foundation.

FUTURE ISLANDS
For films that engage with themes of sea level rise and/or climate change at large. In partnership with and supported by The Redford Center.

FLAMING FILMS
For films created by LGBTQ filmmakers or that engage with LGBTQ themes. In partnership with Flaming Classics. Supported by the Miami Foundation.

1ST GENERATION STORIES
For films and projects by creators whose parents were born in another country, or immigrated to the US themselves. In partnership with OneFifty. Supported by the Time Warner Foundation.

ART FILMS THAT AREN'T BORING
For narrative films by visual artists. Supported by Art Center South Florida.

THE EYESLICER
For films that will become part of a future episode of DIY variety series The Eyeslicer. In partnership with and supported by The Eyeslicer.

PELÍCULAS
For films en español. In partnership with NoBudge. Supported by Movies Brand.

FELLOWSHIP ALUMS
For films and projects created by current or former Borscht Fellows. The Borscht Fellowship is supported by the Time Warner Foundation.
