After extensively reviewing over 600 entries in what was BY FAR our most competitive year ever, we are so proud to reveal our slate of commissioned projected for Borscht 0, taking place in spring of 2019.
These submissions were carefully looked over by several dozen local and international artists, award-winning filmmakers, execs from places such as Warner Bros and Adult Swim, film festival programmers, art critics, comedians, sex workers, Hollywood-types, pharmacists, Oscar-winning producers, barbers, musicians, dancers, gamers, and cousins that really like movies. In carefully sifting through all the entries, the moderately qualified panel was humbled by the diversity of voices telling idiosyncratic Miami stories.
We are truly grateful for all the unique stories and proposals we received from the community and feel it is vital all of these stories are told in some capacity.
We'll be opening up our call for entries for finished projects in winter to screen at the next Borscht Film Festival.
